It is Time to Order Your Oyster Spat!

Thank you for raising baby oysters until they are large enough to survive on local oyster reefs that are protected from harvesting. We
are proud to be a partner of the Marylanders Grows Oysters Program.

Program Timeline:

Now: Order Spat via Arundel Rivers Form

Late October/Early November: Pickup oyster spat on shells from several scheduled pick up days in Annapolis or Edgewater.

From Fall 2021 until Spring 2022: Dunk/shake your oyster cages monthly.

May 2022: Put your oysters out on the reef! Either by dropping off your oysters to Arundel Rivers during a scheduled drop off day or dropping them on the reef yourself via boat.
